We have performed an example price comparison for a single, medium-sized, certified HANA server (40 exclusive CPU cores, 512 GB of RAM) for production in two delivery models - appliance (based on Cisco UCS C460 M2) and cloud (based on Microsoft Azure) - with our managed service. Into the comparison we included all ownership costs - hardware purchase, financing costs for hardware, support and maint. costs and system administration costs for the appliance model and monthly subscription costs - at a 40% discounts for the server purchase and a 60% discount for the cloud model - and compared it to our monthly flat fee over a 5 years write-off period (all prices in RUB):
